Is itachi evil, or good?

Even from really early on when the portrayed Itachi as evil, I had a feeling that what he did to his entire clan had some sort of backing to it. I knew he didn't just do it because he's a freak and wanted to test his strength. That's why I believe Itachi is good, to a certain extent, that is.

Actually, I consider Itachi one of the most good in Naruto. He was the one who faced the worst choices and situations but he always though about others first, he sacrificied himself for the village and his younger brother.

This is hard one for me, i kind of think he is evil for killing all those people in the uchia clan but then again he is good in a few ways

I had the exact same feeling as Near. The initial reason seemed too, out there, I guess you could say. It just didn't seem to fit.

I could think of Itachi with the same regards as Lucy so.... A good guy ^.^
